Welcome to the HCARS Website

Members of the Henry County Amateur Radio Society, (HCARS), and Henry County Emergency Radio Service, (HCARES), serve Henry and Clayton Counties, and surrounding communities, in times of crisis, to support local events, provide educational opportunities, and promoting interest in amateur radio. HCARS also conducts license testing, monthly meetings, and weekly radio net meetings. 

All licensed amateurs are invited to join us in person, and on the air. Not a licensed amateur radio operator but interested in becoming one? We can help - Contact Us!!!!

GA PARKS ON THE AIR

Come join us on April 1, 2023 for the Georgia Parks on the Air event. HCARS will be at Panola Mountain State Park on Saturday, April 1, 2023 to participate in this state-wide event. 

HCARS Monthly In-Person Meeting
Join us at 7:00pm, on the fourth Thursday of each month for the Henry County Amateur Radio Society meeting. Meeting is held at the Henry County E-911 Center.

Friday Nite Cruising w/HCARS Net
Come cruise with us for a fun net nite on the 145.170, -600kHz, PL 146.2 repeater. Net is open to ALL amateur radio operators within range of the repeater. 

HCARS Weekly Net Meeting
​Join us on air Monday evening at 8:30pm
​Primary repeater: 
145.170 -600kHz, PL 146.2  
Back-up Repeater:
146.715 -600kHz  PL 146.2

​This net is a part of the Henry County ARES and HCARS weekly net meeting and is open to all amateur radio operators.

HCAR Repeaters

These are the primary HCARS repeaters, located on top of the Stockbridge Piedmont Henry Hospital and are open for use by ALL amateur radio operators within range.
